The information economy is characterized by "24/7/365" non-stop public and private business under completely new economic rules, e.g., the more there are the more valuable they are, giving away products and services is a good business strategy; very expensive staff reduce the cost of production; etc.   Business is conducted at any time from anyplace with no wasted time or cost between buyer or seller, i.e., "Friction Free".

The Information Economy:

1) is not sensitive to interest rates within a reasonable range;

2) includes high employment and high demand with concurrent reductions in cost because of Information Age efficiencies;  and

3) reduces the float time for public and private transactions.   (Dead time approaches zero with a wireless web, laptop, palm PC and video phone.
